Purpose

To support the transformation of phygital schools — schools that integrate the physical, digital and social dimensions of learning in a balanced, purposeful way — through data and intelligent technologies in service of mastery learning for all. We transform AI into a public good through applied research, public policy, and technology innovation grounded in diverse real-world contexts.

About

Us

AI in education: a focus on equity and mastery learning for all

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Education — IA.Edu works at the intersection of applied research, public policy and innovation to improve learning outcomes and educational management. We develop ethical, accessible solutions rooted in the realities of Brazil and the Global South.

How

We Work

IA.Edu supports the development of strategies that drive meaningful change in public policy — from recommendations and advocacy through to measurable impact on mastery learning for all. In parallel, we develop products and services that widen access to knowledge and stimulate applied research on AI in education. We also invest in building the capacity of educational leaders and provide tailored support to networks and organisations in the education sector, strengthening their capabilities and extending their reach.
